Glorious Model D Features

Honeycomb Shell Body

The Glorious Model D has a honeycomb shell body to achieve a lightweight but sturdy structure. The holes in the honeycomb provide excellent ventilation by allowing air to pass through. In addition, they serve as a passive cooling mechanism for the user, making long-term gaming or work more tolerable.

Ergonomic Design

The Glorious Model D is an ergonomic mouse with a right-slanted design, unlike the Model O, which is ambidextrous. As a result, right-handed people will find this mouse to be the most comfortable.

Its design accommodates a wide range of hand sizes, making it a pleasant mouse to grip for extended periods. Hand fatigue is also not an issue due to its lightweight build.

G-Skates Feet

Nothing is more aggravating than a mouse with a sticky drag, which is particularly inconvenient for gaming. Glorious addressed this issue by incorporating G-Skates’ feet into their Glorious Model D, which are certified snag-proof and PTFE-free at only 0.81 mm thick.

All Model Ds, both wired and wireless, come with four G-Skates feet pre-installed, as well as a spare and larger G-Skates. For a more premium mouse experience, the G-Skates offer maximum mouse glide.

Made to Last

The Glorious Model D is built to last, despite its ultra-lightweight design. With its cutting-edge technology, the Omron switch ensures that you enjoy your games or tasks for an extended period.

There’s no need to be concerned about it breaking down because it’s rated for 20 million clicks. In addition, there are a total of 6 buttons on the Glorious Model D.

RGB Galore

The Glorious Model D mouse already looks good on its own. The people of Glorious, however, cannot stop there. They added RGB with 16.8 million custom colors and eight different effects. After all, more RGB means more FPS, right?

You can control the RGB colors on the mouse without the need for any software installation for an actual plug-and-play experience. You can also find the controls for the DPI adjustments on the mouse with a corresponding light indicator.

Bonus: Glorious Core Software

Glorious developed the Glorious Core, a free software where you can have a unified and streamlined platform for making your gaming experience truly yours. Aside from the mice, Glorious also produces keyboards that are programmable from RGB to key bindings.

In addition, the mouse’s RGB effects, DPI, and other advanced options that are not available on the mouse can be accessed in the software. This software also allows for multiple saving profiles for different use case scenarios.

What’s in the Box?

When you purchase the Glorious Model D mouse, you’ll get the mouse, the spare, and the larger G-Skate Feet.

Quick Specs

The Glorious Model D mouse comes in 2 sizes, the Model D Regular, and the Model D-. They also come in 4 different colors: glossy black, glossy white, matte black, and matte white. These neutral colors with the RGB ensure that you can use this mouse with any theme for your build.

Model D (Regular)

The Model D regular was made for regular to large-sized hands and is perfectly tailored to give users an ergonomic experience. It weighs about 68 grams for the matte and about 69 grams for the glossy. Despite its regular version, it still has a sleek and stealthy form factor, with a width of 61 mm at its narrowest point and only 67 mm at its widest. It also only has 42 mm thickness at its thickest point and a total 128 mm length.

Model D-

The Model D- is made for smaller hands but can also be perfect for medium-sized hands who prefer a grippier feel than the regular Model D version. It weighs about 61 grams for the matte variant and about 62 grams for the glossy one. It has the same narrow and broad points as the Model D regular but has a thickness of only 40 mm at its thickest point and 120 mm for its length.

Ascended Cord

The Glorious Model D is primarily a gaming mouse. With that, it is a mouse with a cable. However, most of the stock cables for mice are plain, dull, and just outright boring. Glorious knew this and introduced their Ascended Cord. A cable that you can customize to your liking with the option to add colored Ascend Cords.

But aesthetics is not the primary concern of Glorious. They are aiming for the ultimate gaming mouse that’s not only good to look at but is even better to use. They made the Ascend Cord light and flexible so that even when it is there, you barely notice it. This will help users focus on the game rather than on the mouse. It is as if the mouse is one with its user.

Glorious also offers the Glorious Mouse Bungee as a cable management option that helps in eliminating cable drags, giving a wireless mouse experience for their wired mice.

Sensor: Pixart 3360

Because this is a gaming mouse, the Glorious Model D is rocking an expert standard sensor: Pixart 3360. This sensor gives the Model D a perfect tracking experience with a speed of up to 250 IPS with no mouse acceleration. This also means no spinouts and a 1000 Hz polling rate at a less than 0.7 mm lift-off distance. All of this results in a mouse with a smooth, buttery feel and an adjustable DPI to suit your preferences and casework.

Glorious Model D (Wireless)

Glorious Model D (Wireless)

Glorious recently launched their Glorious Model D wireless version for those who are not a big fan of wires ruining their perfectly clean set-ups. Unlike the Model D Regular, the six buttons of the Model D Wireless are all programmable through the Glorious Core Software.

What’s in the Box?

When you purchase the Glorious Model D mouse, you’ll get the Glorious Model D wireless mouse, spare and larger G-Skate Feet, an Ascended Cord (Type C), a wireless adapter, and an extender dongle in case your computer is further from where the mouse will be placed. This ensures that the receiver will be closer to the mouse, providing a superior user experience.

Quick Specs

The Glorious Model D wireless version only comes in 1 size, the same as the Glorious Model D Regular. However, it’s heavier with a weight of 69 grams. They also only come in 2 different colors, which are matte black and matte white. Luckily, the RGB compensates for the lack of color choices.

Connectivity

Physics would dictate that wired connectivity is superior to wireless connectivity. However, despite being wireless, this version of the Glorious Model D is still a force to be reckoned with. It’s still perfect for gaming and even better for just about any other task. It has a lag-free 2.4 GHz connectivity that provides the ideal buttery, silky smooth experience. Glorious used advanced technology to ensure latency would not be a problem at all, and it shows!

Battery Life

As a wireless mouse, the Glorious Model D Wireless needs charging from time to time. But with a whopping 71 hours of playtime, with the RGB off, on a single charge, this will not be a concern. What’s great is that this mouse can still be used while charging effectively, making it a wired mouse. This is very convenient for people who might forget to charge their mouse.

Sensor: Glorious BAMF

Glorious continues to collaborate with Pixart in their quest to find the best mouse sensor. This time, they came up with the BAMF Sensor, which is a total game-changer for gaming mice. This sensor can provide very excellent performance while minimizing power consumption resulting in a lower power draw. As a result, the battery lasts for long periods.

This BAMP Sensor provides an astounding 400 IPS track speed, with 19,000 programmable DPI and up to 1000 Hz polling rate. All this is packed into the wireless and lightweight body of the Glorious Model D Wireless.

Conclusion

The Glorious Model D Mouse, both regular and wireless, ticks most boxes an average consumer would want in their mouse.

Whether to get the regular wired or wireless version boils down to preference and aesthetic. May it be gaming, working, or just school work, this is a great mouse. But, most importantly, the Glorious Model D Mouse is worth every penny as it’s made to last.
